Nemo Moonlite Elite Reclining Backpacking Chair

The Moonlite Elite is Nemo's ultralight reclining backpacking chair at about 500 g - light enough to carry rather than leave behind, with the same suspended seat that lets you lean back and recline under your own weight.

Walkers who have always said a chair is not worth carrying, and are about to be proved wrong. The Moonlite Elite is around 500 g and packs to 32 x 8 x 10 cm - smaller than a one-litre bottle - and it reclines.

That combination is the whole argument. At this weight there is no trip where a chair is genuinely out of the question.

Comfort and how it sits

Reclining, adjusted on the fly without getting up, so you go from upright over dinner to leaning back afterwards. Set up it is 46 x 48 x 59 cm - a real chair, not a perch.

Around 500 g, packing to 32 x 8 x 10 cm. It disappears down the side of a pack.

Stability on soft ground

A light chair on a compact frame, which suits firm ground, tent platforms and camp kitchens better than deep sand.
