USWE Race 2.0 Hydration Pack

The USWE Race 2.0 is a 2 litre MTB race hydration pack built around USWE's no-dancing harness, which straps across the chest so the pack stays locked to your back over rough ground instead of bouncing.

Who it's for

Racers and fast riders who want water on their back and nothing else moving. This is deliberately minimal - 230 g, 2 litres of water, and not much room for anything you did not plan to bring. If you want to carry a jacket, tools, lunch and a spare tube, this is the wrong pack. If you want to go hard for two hours without something slapping you between the shoulder blades on every descent, it is exactly right.

Capacity, and what actually fits

2.0 litres in the included Elite bladder, in a body 32 cm long, 16 cm wide and 9 cm deep. Enough for a gel or two, a phone and a multi-tool alongside the bladder - deliberately not enough to tempt you into carrying more.

How it carries

The No Dancing Monkey 1.0 PRO harness is the reason to buy a USWE over anything else. Patented four-point suspension pulls the pack against your back rather than hanging it off your shoulders, and the result is genuinely no bounce - not reduced bounce. Riders who gave up on hydration packs because of what they do on rough descents tend to be converted by this one thing.

Fitting it

The harness is fixed rather than adjustable in torso length, which is part of how it stays this light. Adjust the four attachment points evenly so the load sits high and centred - it should feel clamped rather than slung.

Access and organisation

One main compartment and not much else, which is the point of a race pack.

Weight

230 g excluding the bladder and sleeve - USWE's lightest pack. The ultralight mesh-membrane backplate is what keeps air moving behind it instead of a wet patch forming.
