Vanity Marilyn - Kaiser
Marilyn Monroe in the billowing-skirt pose from The Seven Year Itch fills the left half, broken into speckled fragments of turquoise, coral and orange over a black and white splattered ground. VANITY appears twice in red capitals on streaked grey-brown bands. In the lower right, against pale lilac-grey, a young woman with long braids takes a mirror selfie, her tight dress grey with a dragon pattern and dabs of colour.
Kaiser works in collage and pop art, with fragmentation, duality and social commentary as recurring themes. The pairing from Vanity is cut apart and recombined, Marilyn dissolved into fragments and the selfie figure left almost colourless. Available as a poster or fine art canvas print in multiple sizes.
