Long Rectangular Blue Floral Limoges Box

Stretched long and low, this rectangular box gives its blue floral design plenty of room to run from end to end. It is porcelain, painted by hand and made as a Limoges box in Limoges, France.

A Long Stretch of Blue

Most traditional Limoges boxes are round or square, so a long rectangle brings welcome variety to a shelf. The extended form lets the blue flowers spread out like a garden border instead of crowding into a small circle.

Blue Garden Borders

• Hand-painted porcelain from the workshops of Limoges, France
• Belongs in a blue and white, floral or traditional shape collection
• Balances taller figural boxes in a mixed display

Lined Up on the Desk

A long box sits naturally along the front of a desk, a narrow mantel or a bookshelf ledge. It makes a thoughtful retirement or promotion present for someone who appreciates classic design, or a quiet birthday surprise for a friend who decorates in blue and white. Its shape also suits a dresser top beside a jewelry tray.

Blue florals have been a favorite on French porcelain for generations, and this one carries that tradition in a fresh, simple form.
