The Railway - Gerard Ceulemans

Parallel lines of turquoise, red, coral, yellow, lilac and cream run up and down this abstract composition like tracks, stepping sideways at sharp right angles before carrying on. Small yellow circles sit along the routes like signal lamps, several of them tucked into pale, eye-shaped pockets. Bands of plum and blocks of sunny yellow break up the lower half, and the whole network is set against a soft pink ground.
